Frequently Asked Questions

Here's a few commonly asked questions, and their answers.

If you have a question which is not in this section, please contact us.

Why Rainne.com?

Familiar with my artwork, and wondering why I changed websites? Rainne.com is my professional artist portfolio. I'll only be placing my best fantasy and emotive (emotion-based) paintings up here. (Along with a few sketches one day, perhaps.)

I really feel like everything up until now has been practice for me. I still have a lot to learn, but don't we all?

As for the pseudonym/alias of "Rainne".. I KNEW that it would be easier to remember than my name. People have a hell of a time with my last name! Rainne has been one of my more loved fantasy RPG names in the past, so that's where I came up with the name itself.

Do you take commissions?

Yes! If you have something that you would like Stephanie to paint, contact us here with your information. We will get back to you as soon as possible!

Stephanie is currently accepting professional or to-be-published commissions only.

Can I use your artwork on my webpage?

Yes! As long as it is a non-profit page, and you follow the following guidelines:

* If the image is from Rainne.com, you may post the image on your website without needing to contact us at all.

* Please make sure to give proper credit by placing a link and/or a text credit ("© Rainne.com") on that page.

* Please don't link directly to the images. Download them and by right clicking on them, and then upload them to your own server. If you link directly to my images, it will not show up on your website! We have hotlink protection on to prevent bandwidth issues from that sort of thing.

Can I use one of your images for creating my own signature tags, tubes, etc.?

Certainly! The tags, tubes, etc. must not be used for profit. You must not change the paintings themselves, either. This includes changing the color of an item, changing the ratio of the image, or any significant changes to the image itself. Adding a border, sparkles, etc. are - of course - perfectly acceptable.

Ensure that somewhere on the tag/tube, there is credit given to Rainne.com so that people know where the painting came from!

Can I use one of your paintings for one of my roleplaying characters?

You're more than welcome to, yes. As long as it is for personal, non-profit use, you may do so without needing to notify us at all. Make sure to let people know where you found the image with a © Rainne.com listed somewhere along with the image. Thanks!

What do you use to make these?

Most of my images start as sketches with a pencil and paper, or a digital sketch. I paint them using Corel Painter and Adobe Photoshop for software, and using a Wacom Intuos 4 graphics tablet.
